Chapter 272

He seemed determined to make up for all the days he had missed during her period.

There was a touch of tenderness, mixed with a hint of roughness, but she really liked this side of Long Ge.

The next day, her biological clock failed her once again. In a daze, she could only feel his gentle hands untangling her long, messy hair.

Strangely enough, even though she was exhausted and reluctant to open her eyes, wanting nothing more than to sleep a little longer, she could clearly feel Long Ge pinching her cheek, pulling the blanket up to wrap her snugly, and whispering in her ear that he was going out to buy breakfast, urging her to sleep a bit more. Then, she felt a warm touch on her cheek and lips.

Hu Yuying, both tired and sleepy, mumbled, “Got it, Long Ge, dress warmly; it’s cold in the morning.”

After mumbling those words, her consciousness drifted back into slumber, and she could no longer sense whether Long Ge had left or if he was still tidying her hair. All she knew was that she was sleeping so comfortably, truly, so comfortably.

When she finally woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.

The room had been tidied up, and a somewhat cold breakfast was laid out on the table, but Long Ge was nowhere to be seen.

She lifted the blanket and glanced at the ambiguous marks left on her body, then quickly covered herself with the blanket again, stretching lazily in bed, feeling quite pleased.

After rolling around in bed for a while, savoring Long Ge’s lingering scent, she was just about to get dressed when she heard a teasing voice from outside, “Yuying, you’re not still in bed, are you?”

“Was last night’s battle that intense? I’ve never seen Hu Yuying sleep in!”

Back when Hu Yuying was staying over, she would always get up early for morning exercises and never slept in.

Hearing those words, Hu Yuying’s face flushed, and she hurried to get dressed.

As she got off the bed, she rushed to put on her shoes.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of the trash can by the bedside, feeling embarrassed yet also scolding Long Ge for his lack of restraint—he had used so many in just one night.

She quickly tied up the trash bag; if Li Qingxue and Lin Wanqing saw this, she would truly have no face left to show.

She opened the door early.

There stood Li Qingxue and Lin Wanqing, each holding a large black bag.

“You finally woke up!” Li Qingxue teased, noticing Hu Yuying’s obviously just-woken-up state. “The sun’s already shining on your backside!”

Hu Yuying blushed and retorted, “Actually, I woke up a long time ago.”

“Sure, sure, you woke up ages ago; you just didn’t want to get out of bed, right?”

Lin Wanqing, seeing Hu Yuying’s flustered expression, couldn’t help but join in the teasing.

She stepped forward, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she looked Hu Yuying up and down.

Feeling Lin Wanqing’s gaze, Hu Yuying instinctively covered her collar with her hand.

“What are you looking at, Wanqing?”

“I’m just observing the battlefield.”

At this, Hu Yuying couldn’t let Lin Wanqing get away with it. How could she describe her body as a battlefield?

Though the metaphor was quite vivid, it sounded shameless coming from Wanqing.

“What are you two carrying?” she cleverly shifted the topic to the two large bags in the yard.

“Still pretending? Do you really not know?” Li Qingxue grinned.

Oh no, the topic shift failed...

Fortunately, Li Qingxue and Lin Wanqing didn’t continue to tease her.

Instead, they sat on small stools in front of the two black bags and began unpacking.

Inside were knitted hats, scarves, and gloves.

Lin Wanqing pulled out a white knitted hat, put it on her head, and turned to Li Qingxue and Hu Yuying, asking, “How does it look?”

“Looks great!”

“Really great!”

After Hu Yuying and Li Qingxue complimented her, they walked over to Lin Wanqing, rummaging through the bags until they found a white scarf and a pair of pink cotton gloves.

“What are you two up to?” Lin Wanqing feigned fear as she watched them approach, her exaggerated demeanor feeling perfectly natural.

The two of them grinned as they began to drape the items over Lin Wanqing one by one.

Her fair skin, already pale, lost a bit of its coolness but gained a touch of delicate beauty, like a little white flower.

As the three of them played happily, the front door swung open, and Long Aotian’s voice rang out, “Didn’t we agree you’d come back to help me? Where is everyone?”

Hearing this, Li Qingxue and Lin Wanqing, who had been playing around, suddenly froze, exchanging silent glances.

They had completely forgotten about that after seeing Hu Yuying...

They quickly removed the hats, scarves, and gloves they were wearing and rushed to Long Aotian, trying to curry favor.

The three of them moved quickly, but they still hadn’t managed to tidy themselves up before Long Aotian appeared before them.

He saw the knitted hats askew on their heads, and they were frantically trying to take off their gloves and untangle their scarves.

When he showed up, their movements came to a halt.

They stared blankly at Long Aotian.

Seeing their dazed and slightly guilty expressions, Long Aotian could no longer maintain his serious facade and burst into laughter.

“Look at you three, this is clothing, go try it on in the room.”

The three of them quickly got busy.

Changing clothes, mixing and matching outfits, and taking photos to save.

With their looks and figures, they were like walking hangers, the best models for their own fashion...

**Chapter 332: Leave Me a Little Soup**

The essence of life is simplicity.

Days passed week by week.

The weather grew colder.

Thanks to the continuous efforts of the three girls, their online store business was thriving.

Sometimes, when they got busy, Long Aotian found himself sidelined by the little girls.

Compared to them, he seemed to have reverted to his former slacker self.

To change all that and avoid being a slacker, Long Aotian had to shamelessly push himself forward.

Most of the time, the little girls couldn’t stand his clinginess. Once he wrapped his arms around her waist, she had no choice but to surrender, snuggling obediently in his embrace.

One afternoon, Long Aotian received a message from the little girl saying she had no classes and wanted to invite him to the restaurant they had visited before to eat claypot rice noodles.

After reading the message, Long Aotian tidied himself up and rode his bike to pick her up.

Today, the roads were clear, and the traffic lights seemed to be guiding him along.

Arriving early at the entrance of A University, he had just taken off his helmet when he spotted the little girl walking toward the campus gate.

His brows furrowed slightly.

Next to her was a boy, about 1.75 meters tall, with short hair that looked quite sunny.

They seemed to be chatting about something, and the little girl even smiled.

Seeing this, Long Aotian quickly glanced at the rearview mirror of his electric bike.

His slightly tousled hair, blown by the wind, looked handsome and upright, and when he smiled, shallow dimples appeared on his face.

He looked at himself, then at the boy beside the little girl, deciding he needed a haircut soon, maybe something shorter.

Though he knew the little girl’s heart and mind were with him, and he pretended not to care, he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy.

When he saw the little girl smile again, Long Aotian cleared his throat and called out, “Aying!”

Hearing his voice, Hu Yuying looked up, her bright eyes instantly turning into crescent moons.

She nodded at her classmate beside her and then jogged over to Long Aotian.

He took her hand, glancing at the boy, then raised an eyebrow, gently placing the helmet on her head.

“What are you doing, Long Ge?” Hu Yuying laughed at his antics, covering her mouth as she giggled.

“Hmm.” Long Aotian nodded to himself, “I know that guy is your classmate.”

Watching him, Hu Yuying blinked, “But Long Ge, you looked so smug just now. Are you jealous?”

Long Aotian didn’t reply; he simply held her hand and, once they were on the electric bike, sped off.

Sitting behind him, Hu Yuying wrapped her arms around his waist and softly explained, “I’m running an online store, and that classmate wanted to buy a whole outfit for his girlfriend, so he asked me to help him put together a look.”

Mentioning this made Long Aotian feel a bit regretful. Ever since they started selling winter clothes, he had been busier than ever. Just the other night, after coaxing her to sleep, he had been scrolling through his phone.

During the day, they were separated in different colleges, and by the time evening came, he was busy with the online store, leaving less and less time for just the two of them.

No matter what, all of this afternoon was going to belong to him.

With that thought, Long Aotian took Hu Yuying straight back to their home.
