Glancing at the person beside her, Hu Yuying couldn’t help but smile foolishly, sneaking glances at Long Aotian.
It felt a bit surreal that Long Ge had suddenly appeared by her side.
Now that they were together, it felt like they had returned to Haibay City. The surroundings might be unfamiliar, but her heart was free of fear.
“What are you grinning about?” Long Aotian noticed her little antics and said, half-seriously.
“I missed you, Long Ge.”
At her words, Long Aotian felt a jolt in his heart, but looking into Hu Yuying’s joyful eyes, he found himself responding, almost instinctively, “Long Ge missed you too.”
The moment those words left his mouth, both Hu Yuying and Long Aotian were momentarily stunned.
Then Hu Yuying burst into a bright smile, radiant and beautiful. In the glow of the setting sun, their shadows stretched long, gently tilting toward each other, as if resting on one another’s shoulders.
“Long Ge, I’m so happy today,” Hu Yuying said softly.
“Yeah.” Long Aotian scratched his head, looking genuinely happy but still reluctant to admit it.
This demeanor, more than a simple grin, radiated warmth—pure sunshine!
“Are you happy, Long Ge?” Hu Yuying asked, her voice small yet filled with anticipation.
“A little bit happy, just a tiny bit, not more!” Long Aotian replied seriously.
Hu Yuying quickly stepped in front of him. “You’re lying! You’re clearly very happy!”
“Hey? How dare you say your Long Ge is lying? I might just have to hit you!” Long Aotian’s playful side emerged.
“Long Ge~~ can you please not hit me all the time?”
“Are you still trying to act cute?”
“Do you have to hit me for that?”
“If you behave, I won’t hit you.”
“Then I’ll be the best behaved!”
“Alright then, this time I won’t hit you.”
The two of them strolled through the unfamiliar city, filled with beautiful expectations for the future and endless dreams.
“Are we eating here?” Hu Yuying looked at the grand mall before them, surrounded by well-dressed people. To be honest, she felt a bit intimidated, mostly worried about Long Aotian spending too much.
“Cheapskate, Long Ge will treat you.”

Being pinched by Long Ge felt so nice.

That wasn’t a lie; the food at A University was genuinely good and quite affordable.

“Are we going or not? If not, I’ll really hit you!”
“Of course we’re going~” Hu Yuying glanced at Long Aotian, reluctantly moving forward.
For Hu Yuying, what they ate didn’t matter; what mattered was who she was eating with.
If it was with Long Ge, she might even save him some money.
“What are you mumbling about? I haven’t hit anyone in a long time, so don’t give me a reason, or I might hit you hard enough to make you cry.”
In truth, Hu Yuying wasn’t scared because she knew Long Ge couldn’t stand to see her cry. If she really did, he would be flustered and helpless; he had never hit her before.
Even so, Hu Yuying was more than willing to pretend to be scared, as it allowed her to follow Long Ge without reservation.
They wandered around, eating and drinking.
“Long Ge, I really can’t eat anymore.” Hu Yuying looked at him, feeling a bit helpless.
He insisted on buying her everything delicious.
Though it was indeed tasty, her stomach could only hold so much; she genuinely couldn’t eat anymore.
Maybe it was just her imagination, but she felt like Long Ge was trying to make up for all the time they hadn’t seen each other in one go today.
Though that was just her thought, it made her heart very happy.
Stealing a glance at Long Ge, she felt elated.
After they had eaten their fill, Long Aotian led Hu Yuying out of the mall.
As they stepped outside, Hu Yuying felt a sudden lightness wash over her.
“Long Ge, look over there! Isn’t that a park? Let’s go for a stroll and digest our food.”
Hu Yuying suggested.
Since it was rare for her to be out with Long Ge, she didn’t want to go back so soon.
“Sure.” Long Aotian nodded, feeling agreeable. He didn’t want to go back early either; he just thought a walk would be nice.
The park was large, filled with people, mostly middle-aged and elderly folks with children.
To the left of the park were some entertainment facilities, a large platform, and semi-circular stone seating.
