Chapter 11

Shawn Douglas's pupils contracted slightly. The moment he was about to crash into the wall, Gavin Dawson yanked him back, one hand pressing against his neck, the other gripping his hair.

"How am I not like that?" Gavin Dawson laughed by his ear. "Didn't you just say I was wild? Hey Shawn Douglas, you gave me such a high evaluation—are you secretly in love with me?"

He didn't speak loudly, but because the hallway was so quiet, everyone heard him.

Someone in the crowd couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing.

Shawn Douglas's face turned bright red with anger. When Gavin Dawson said he was an Omega, he had hesitated to hit him just now, but he hadn't expected Gavin Dawson to act like a complete lunatic.

Now Shawn Douglas was furious. He struggled and cursed, "Get lost! Gavin Dawson, stop fucking pretending with me!"

As soon as he finished cursing, Gavin Dawson slammed his head against the wall.

  It made a loud noise.

Shawn Douglas's head was already injured, and now he was nearly fainting from the pain. For a moment, he couldn't help but hope someone would step in to stop this madman.

Seeing Shawn Douglas's twisted expression, Gavin Dawson was about to go for a second round when someone grabbed his hand from behind.

The boy's presence was as clean as the first snow of early winter. Gavin Dawson accidentally bumped into the other's solid chest.

"Teacher's coming," Logan Carter said. "Stop fighting."

Gavin Dawson twisted his wrist but couldn't break free.

Logan Carter's strength was frightening. Gavin Dawson was held in a vice grip and had no choice but to reluctantly let go.

"What are you doing, what are you doing!! What are you all messing around here for?!"

The grade director for the second year shouted from across the crowd, gradually pushing people aside as he walked over.

After being released, Shawn Douglas was gasping for breath. Gavin Dawson's attention was drawn to the grade director. Seeing that Gavin Dawson was off guard, Shawn Douglas's expression shifted, and he kept glancing at the chair Gavin Dawson had tossed aside.

Just as he was about to grab it, someone beat him to it, kicking the chair away with just the right amount of force.

"Haven't you had enough?" The chair screeched across the floor. Logan Carter lowered his eyes. "Stop making trouble for yourself."

His gaze was chillingly indifferent, and his tall figure was especially intimidating in this situation.

Shawn Douglas instinctively withdrew his hand.

The grade director was nearly driven mad seeing how badly they'd fought.

Suppressing his temper, he looked at Logan Carter, a hint of hesitation in his eyes, unsure whether to deal with him: "Did you get involved too?"

"He didn't," Gavin Dawson cut in. "It was just me and Shawn Douglas fighting."

  Logan Carter glanced at him.

After asking around and confirming that only Gavin Dawson and Shawn Douglas had fought, the director breathed a sigh of relief and called the two of them to the office.

Megan Shaw hadn't expected to see Gavin Dawson so soon.

She had previously called Logan Carter in to ask about the situation. Having taught Logan Carter for over a year, she naturally didn't believe the rumors that he had forced an Omega, but before the surveillance footage was checked, she still questioned him.

Logan Carter said that yesterday, a classmate had a sudden accident, and he had brought them a scent blocker.

All the teachers in the office were listening to his explanation. When Megan Shaw asked for the classmate's name, Logan Carter quietly told her.

When she heard it was Gavin Dawson, after her initial surprise, Megan Shaw had planned to call him to school. The incident had blown up, and she heard Shawn Douglas and the others even wanted to call the police. It would be best to clear things up face-to-face as soon as possible.

But it was Logan Carter who stopped her, saying that Gavin Dawson had just differentiated and might not be feeling well. If he still didn't come to class in the afternoon, then it wouldn't be too late to urge him to come to school.

Seeing how calm Logan Carter was, Megan Shaw basically believed him. She also thought that an Omega who had just differentiated would be in poor spirits and have little energy. So when she saw Gavin Dawson being brought in by the grade director, and then looked at Shawn Douglas's head injury, she was stunned.

Shawn Douglas's wound was still bleeding. The teachers had told him to go to the hospital, but the kid was being stubborn. Since the wound wasn't deep, he just slapped on two band-aids and insisted on getting an explanation here before going to the hospital.

Shawn Douglas and Gavin Dawson took turns explaining what had happened.

The homeroom teacher of the sports class, surnamed Wang, was a cheerful male teacher. Gavin Dawson had long heard that this teacher was very protective of his students—whenever students from the sports class got into fights, he would always find ways to shield them.

After hearing them out, Mr. Walker said, "So Gavin Dawson started it? No matter what, it's wrong to hit someone."

Shawn Douglas quickly chimed in, "I was just joking around, and he went crazy and started hitting me."

After all, he was the injured party. Seeing how miserable he looked, and hearing that he hadn't fought back at all, the teachers in the office all felt that Gavin Dawson had gone too far.

Seeing things seemed to be going his way, Shawn Douglas continued, "Really, Gavin Dawson, you went too far this time. You almost ruined my face..."

"Are you done yet?" Gavin Dawson shot him a glare.

Shawn Douglas flinched at that look, his head aching reflexively.

It took him a while to remember he was in the office now, and he was safe. He couldn't figure out why Gavin Dawson was still so arrogant.
