Chapter 7

Seeing that it was Logan Carter, Gavin Dawson’s urge to rub up against the newcomer faded by more than half. But for some reason, as soon as Logan Carter got close, the feverish feeling all over Gavin Dawson’s body intensified. Whatever was rampaging inside him suddenly found an outlet and surged out impatiently.

Gavin Dawson let out a muffled groan, his legs so weak he almost couldn’t stand. He quickly grabbed the stall door handle for support.

Logan Carter stopped in his tracks.

He looked Gavin Dawson up and down, and asked in a somewhat uncertain voice, “Are you a Beta?”

Hearing the doubt in his tone, Gavin Dawson chuckled, “What do you think?”

Seeing how confident he was, Logan Carter almost thought he’d made a mistake. If it weren’t for Gavin Dawson’s reddened eyes and the slight tremble in the fingers clutching the door handle, Logan Carter might have needed a bit longer to confirm his suspicion.

He hadn’t expected Gavin Dawson to ever be in such a vulnerable state.

For once, he tried to see things from the other’s perspective and gently told Gavin Dawson the truth: “You have an Omega’s pheromones on you.”

Gavin Dawson thought for a moment. “Are you jealous?”

“……” In all his life, Logan Carter had never met someone who thought in such a bizarre way. To keep Gavin Dawson from going off on another tangent, he decided to be blunt: “You might need to get another physical. The pheromones are coming from you—can’t you smell them yourself?”

Gavin Dawson immediately understood what he meant, and was a bit stunned. He hadn’t even recovered from the shock of possibly being an Omega when he saw Logan Carter’s gaze sweep slowly over his face.

“Go wait for me in a stall for a bit.”

“…Fuck.” This time Gavin Dawson was truly startled. He looked at Logan Carter warily. “What are you trying to do? Whatever you’re thinking, kill that idea right now. There’s no telling which of us would come out worse.”

“Your pheromones are about to overflow. I’m going back to the classroom to get a suppressant.”

Gavin Dawson still looked unconvinced. Seeing his defensive posture, Logan Carter suddenly felt the urge to tease him.

His gaze slid, almost imperceptibly, over Gavin Dawson’s gland. Gavin Dawson felt his scalp tingle under that look, as if he were a fish laid out on a chopping board.

He heard Logan Carter say in a suggestive tone, “If you want me to help you out…”

Gavin Dawson: “See that door? Class president, please walk that way and don’t look back.”

Logan Carter: “—Then just keep thinking about it.”

Logan Carter suppressed the smile at the corner of his lips and lazily said, “Even if I had any ideas, they wouldn’t be about you.”

Gavin Dawson had never suffered such humiliation: “What a coincidence, even if I were into OO relationships, I wouldn’t let you take a bite.”

Hearing this blatant provocation, Logan Carter actually felt like laughing. He was about to head back to the classroom when his sleeve was tugged from behind, not too hard, not too soft.

“I didn’t…” Gavin Dawson had felt a bit embarrassed at first, but when he met Logan Carter’s calm, indifferent expression, his irritation flared up instead. He thought if he acted shy now, he’d really lose face, so he tried to act as open as possible: “I’m not in heat. Just bring me a scent blocker.”

After all, Logan Carter was an Alpha and couldn’t really guess what an Omega was going through.

Gavin Dawson had never experienced a heat before, but he’d taken biology class and knew his current state probably wasn’t that serious yet.

He just couldn’t stand very steadily, and his head was spinning.

Logan Carter responded with a sound.

Back in the classroom, Logan Carter realized he didn’t have those things. Ethan Brooks and Sean Jordan were also Alphas, so asking anyone else would definitely raise questions. After thinking it over, he walked over to Ian Scott’s desk and lowered his voice: “Do you have a scent blocker?”

Ian Scott was stunned for a moment, then nodded.

Even though Gavin Dawson said he didn’t need it, Logan Carter decided to bring him a suppressant as well: “Do you have a suppressant too?”

Ian Scott nodded again, pulled two small boxes from his drawer, and handed them to Logan Carter.

After Logan Carter thanked him and left the classroom, Ian Scott suddenly snapped out of it.

Damn, he’d been so distracted by Logan Carter’s face that he forgot to ask why he needed those things!

Ian Scott pulled out his phone and found the group chat called “撑起一中一片天”.

[Sisters!!!!] he wailed in the group chat: [The class president just asked me for a scent blocker for O’s!!!! He also wanted a suppressant!!!!]

[Damn! Has my male god descended to earth?]

[WTF??!!]

[Logan, who are you after? Mom won’t allow it ahhhhh—]

……

When Logan Carter returned to the restroom, he saw a boy standing by the entrance to the men’s room, peering inside.

The boy seemed to be from the sports class. Logan Carter found him somewhat familiar, but couldn’t recall his name for the moment.

When he saw Logan Carter approaching, Shawn Douglas was also taken aback. It was only today that he learned Nathaniel Jenkins had gone to Class 9 to deliver milk tea for Logan Carter—the person Nathaniel Jenkins liked was Logan Carter. Running into his love rival so unexpectedly, Shawn Douglas felt a bit complicated.

Logan Carter was different from Gavin Dawson. He could talk tough about dealing with Gavin Dawson, but he really didn’t dare mess with Logan Carter.

Seeing that Logan Carter wasn’t saying anything, Shawn Douglas spoke up first: “Is there an Omega in there? Are they in heat?”

Logan Carter said nothing.
