Chapter 10

Maybe it was because he had just differentiated, but that night, Gavin Dawson didn’t sleep well.

He completely forgot about setting an alarm and ended up sleeping through two classes.

By the time Gavin Dawson arrived at school, the big break was almost over. He had just sat down at his seat when Ian Scott, sitting next to him, spoke up.

“Bro, something big happened.” Ian Scott put down his phone, which he’d been checking for updates, and looked at Gavin Dawson: “I don’t know what’s gotten into Shawn Douglas, but he insists he saw Logan Carter messing around with an Omega at school yesterday. Shawn Douglas says that Omega might not even be of age, and claims Logan Carter forced them. If it really was forced... that’s a crime.”

In today’s society, the ratio of the three ABO genders is roughly 3:6:1. Omegas are naturally delicate, and to protect their rights, the law strictly pursues any harm done to Omegas.

Gavin Dawson’s lingering drowsiness gradually faded. He looked up and glanced ahead—Logan Carter’s seat was empty.

Ian Scott heard Gavin Dawson ask, “Didn’t Logan Carter tell you?”

“Tell me what?”

Seeing Ian Scott’s confused face, Gavin Dawson confirmed that Ian Scott really didn’t know it was him who used the scent blocker yesterday. Only then did he remember that he’d been so focused on going to the hospital for a checkup that he hadn’t told Logan Carter whether he could reveal he was an Omega.

So Logan Carter hadn’t told anyone.

Did that mean... he was being protected by him?

“Where is he?”

“No idea, seems like he went out.”

Gavin Dawson responded with an “oh,” stood up, and walked toward the sports class.

Class Ten was at the far left end of the corridor, while the sports class was at the far right. Gavin Dawson walked straight to the back door of the sports class.

Shawn Douglas’s seat was right there.

Before he even got close, Gavin Dawson could hear Shawn Douglas joking around with others—their voices were loud.

“Logan Carter really screwed up this time, daring to mess around at school. No matter how powerful his family is, there’s no way this can just be swept under the rug.” A boy said to a girl next to him, “Don’t you Omegas have a forum? That big joint forum for all the top colleges in Ning City—post about it there.”

The girl hesitated a bit.

Last night, Shawn Douglas had even posted something about this on his Moments, but when she checked this morning, he’d already deleted it—probably afraid someone would use it against him.

She didn’t want to be the one to stick her neck out either, so she replied vaguely, “Let’s wait a bit. Didn’t they say they’re still checking the surveillance?”

“Wait for what? The whole grade knows he shoved someone into the bathroom. Even the teachers said there was Omega pheromone residue in there.” Shawn Douglas smacked his lips. “But you can’t blame Logan Carter entirely. That Omega must be wild—didn’t use inhibitors, didn’t spray blockers, just waiting for someone to do them, right?”

The girl frowned, a little displeased. “Sometimes Omegas really can’t control their pheromones. Is that what you all think?”

Seeing she was unhappy, Shawn Douglas quickly tried to appease her: “That’s not what I meant. There are all kinds of Omegas. You’re not like that one. That kind...”

He grinned and made a gesture. “That’s called asking for it.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the half-closed back door was kicked open.

Shawn Douglas’s seat faced the back door, and he was caught off guard as the door slammed into him, making him stagger and nearly fall.

He turned around, about to curse out whoever opened the door so violently, only to meet the eyes of Gavin Dawson standing at the doorway.

Gavin Dawson grabbed him by the collar of his T-shirt and yanked him forward, dragging Shawn Douglas out the back door in one go.

It was one thing for Logan Carter to drag him, but for Gavin Dawson, a Beta, to drag him out like this in front of so many people—Shawn Douglas felt utterly humiliated.

Seeing him struggle, Gavin Dawson simply let go.

As soon as he was released, Shawn Douglas immediately started cursing:

“Fuck! Gavin Dawson, are you out of your mind?!”

Gavin Dawson grabbed a chair from the back door, picked it up, and smashed it down on Shawn Douglas’s head.

Shawn Douglas was stunned for a moment, until he felt warm liquid running down his face.

A sharp pain hit him, and only then did he realize he was bleeding.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

Logan Carter came out of the office and saw this exact scene.

Gavin Dawson casually tossed the chair to the ground, facing the dazed and beaten Shawn Douglas.

The boy was full of hostility, his expression somewhere between a smile and a sneer.

“I’m the Omega you said was just waiting to be fucked.” Gavin Dawson met Shawn Douglas’s incredulous gaze, his voice icy cold: “Do I look like I’m asking for it to you?”

Author’s note: I can’t handle this question, Xiao Lu, your turn.

Chapter 5: The Office

The hallway fell silent for a moment.

Then, people gradually started reacting, and the area filled with whispers. Shawn Douglas opened his mouth but couldn’t say a word.

If Gavin Dawson was an Omega, it made him look even worse.

He was an Alpha, and not only had he been dragged so far by an Omega, he’d also had a chair smashed over his head.

“Damn it,” he fumed inwardly, cursing, “How do you look anything like an Omega...”

He hadn’t even finished speaking when Gavin Dawson grabbed him again, clearly about to slam him into the wall.
