Chapter 45

At the end, her backpack held five more items, and her attribute points had increased by 17. Although the chance of stealing items was twice that of stealing attribute points, it didn’t matter much since the current players had very little to begin with.

Now, Yu Xunge's attributes were as follows:

【Health Points】: 350/350

【Mana Points】: 850/850

【Strength】: 10+7

【Constitution】: 13+2

【Intelligence】: 15+5

【Agility】: 21+4

【Luck】: 10

【Charm】: 10

With an additional 17 attribute points, her stats were already comparable to a level 9 player. These weren’t bad guys; they were a bunch of fat sheep.

But this wasn’t the end. Yu Xunge had no intention of stopping her thievery just because she had taken her revenge.

The words of those people hadn’t stirred a single ripple in her heart, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t angry. She had no doubt they would act on their threats.

Transforming into a small bird, Yu Xunge flew in the direction the last team had left. It didn’t take long for her to locate them, as they were busy attacking a venomous spider with silenced firearms.

Once transformed, Anima Gasi could no longer use skills other than her divine gifts, so Yu Xunge wasn’t in a hurry to change back. This was the perfect opportunity for an experiment.

Using her Soros pocket watch, she scanned the data of the man standing at the front, holding a shield.

【Strength】: 7

【Constitution】: 4

【Intelligence】: 5

【Agility】: 5

【Luck】: 5

【Charm】: 3

Waiting for the right moment, just as the spider charged toward the shield, she used the skill she had obtained from the 【Fate Wheel】 but hadn’t yet activated: Skill 2, 【Your Combination is Off, I Don’t Like It】—this skill swapped the target's highest and lowest attribute values for one hour, with a cooldown of five hours.

Yu Xunge felt her vision flicker as 【Strength】 and 【Agility】 seemed to glitch. In the next moment, Strength dropped to 4, and Agility rose to 7.

She felt a bit disappointed; it seemed that Charm, being an unassignable attribute, couldn’t be swapped.

But then she thought, if it could be swapped, the Fate Wheel wouldn’t be a B-grade item; it would at least be an A.

In the later stages, everyone would allocate their attribute points. Even those who favored extreme builds would still have to invest a bit in other attributes due to equipment requirements. Once levels increased, most attributes would break into double digits, with only Luck and Charm maxing out at 10.

With his Strength suddenly plummeting, the shield-wielding man couldn’t brace himself and was sent flying.

He cursed in terror, bewildered by the day’s events. From the start, he had felt something was off, and now he was literally knocked out of the fight.

With their formation disrupted, the others began to panic.

**Chapter 58: Investigation**

As Yu Xunge canceled her Anima Gasi transformation, she quickly used 【Armor Up!】 to transform into a goblin and cast an illusion spell on herself.

In an instant, only one person on the ground caught a glimpse of her, but they merely saw a shadow flit across the trees before it vanished.

She sent an 【Ice Flower Seal】 flying toward the person standing at the back, then drew her bow and used 【Push Shot】, sending a wave of energy with the arrow that pushed the five men toward the spider, stunning them for three seconds.

Three seconds was enough for the spider’s legs to pierce through two of them.

Then, she split off a shadow, which flew into the fray and grabbed the two in the center.

By the time those two had recovered from their stupor, it was already too late.

With Yu Xunge and the spider working in perfect harmony, the small team was quickly wiped out.

After dispatching the players, the venomous spider began to feast.

Yu Xunge remained still. The nearest treehouse outpost was only five minutes away. She recalled her shadow, transformed into a small bird, and flew to another tree, changing into a tiny spider and hiding in a crevice, a perfect visual blind spot.

She wondered if the others had any detection skills. Although Anima Gasi could block most skills and item detections, even if she was discovered, she still had her goblin disguise beneath her spider form.

After patiently waiting for a while, she saw a team approaching from a certain direction, working in perfect sync to take down the spider that was eating. Yu Xunge glanced at her pocket watch; it had only been seven minutes since the team was wiped out.

The group stopped by the five corpses.

One person looked around and said, “No one here.”

A long-haired woman crouched down and examined the scene. “Looks like a mistake,” she said, touching the blood with her fingers and closing her eyes, clearly using a skill.

Yu Xunge narrowed her eyes from her perch in the tree. In that moment, countless scenarios flashed through her mind. If her skill could directly reveal the killer’s information, what would she do? If her skill could show the last moments of the deceased, how would she react? If her skill could access the memories of the dead…

Yu Xunge didn’t believe she had done anything wrong, but she couldn’t grasp the official’s intentions or methods. Things hadn’t descended into chaos yet; it wasn’t time for heavy-handed measures. What was the official stance on player conflicts? It was hard to say.

After using skills on the blood of the five players, the woman shook her head. “From behind… there was an energy impact that stunned them for a few seconds. Before she died, someone froze her, and these two were grabbed by a shadow.”

The buzz-cut man turned to the one who had said, “No one here,” and asked, “So there was no one when we got here?”

The other replied, “Yeah, I used a skill before the spider killed anyone and didn’t see any player information.”

They chatted for a while longer, noted the skill information, and then left.

Yu Xunge didn’t rush to move; instead, she waited quietly for another half hour. During that time, the official team returned twice, but she couldn’t be bothered to watch. She transformed into a small bird and flew away.

She was confident that there were no traces left by the officials on her. After all, she had been on the run for years and was well-versed in various tracking methods, far surpassing most people. Not to mention, she had a habit of checking herself daily.

How did the officials know about these players’ deaths?

Divine gifts?

Suddenly, she recalled the water ball given to them at the outpost, which supposedly would lead someone to them if they got lost. She had discarded it the next day, finding it too cumbersome.

It seemed likely that…

This could be troublesome.

But Yu Xunge had no intention of stopping.

Using her illusion spell, she searched the forest for a long time before finding another small team.

This time, she didn’t use her bow and arrows; instead, she pulled out the grenades she had bought while collecting weapons and tossed down three of them.

Yu Xunge felt a surge of happiness, her mood lifted, and her thoughts clear.

The cries of “I want one too!” and “Boss, I want one too!” echoed in her mind.

With two teams gone, it was time for Yu Xunge to have lunch. She used a cleansing spell, changed her clothes, and after collecting today’s gold coins, she headed into the nearest outpost. Just as she finished eating, she saw the five-member official team she had encountered earlier walk in. Curious, she stole a few glances while continuing to eat her meal.

After finishing, she crouched down next to them and asked, “Are you buying equipment?”

The five didn’t seem surprised. They had all heard of Yu Xunge, the lucky starlet, and the official insiders knew even more. They had even used the skill crystal for 【Feeling Happy Again】.

The long-haired woman asked curiously, “What equipment?”

Yu Xunge pulled out a rare-grade item she had obtained from defeating a zombie—a pair of boots.

【Shadow】 (Rare)

【Bonus Attributes】: Intelligence +8┃Constitution +4

【Magical Attributes】: +2% Magic Damage┃+1% Critical Damage

【Equipment Requirements】: Intelligence ≥ 19┃Agility > 12

Rare-grade equipment typically has two requirements: one for level and one for attributes. Sometimes, both requirements are for attributes, which indirectly requires a certain level since a normal person’s starting attributes max out at 10-12. With five attribute points at level one, having Intelligence over 19 and Agility over 12 means you’d need to be at least level three.

However, if other equipment boosts attributes to meet the requirements, it means one can equip good gear early.

Thus, equipment that only requires attributes to be met is generally 20-30% more expensive than those requiring a level.

This was originally gear she intended to sell. Even though she needed Constitution due to her recent training, she planned to pursue an archer route afterward, prioritizing Agility over Intelligence.

The group straightened up, and even upon seeing the equipment requirements, they didn’t feel disappointed.

They had arrived early and were already level two. Although they were still far from level three, it was only a matter of a month or two.

Yu Xunge knew she couldn’t sell it for more than the auction house, and she wasn’t looking for gold: “I want to trade for skill crystals.”

The long-haired woman replied, “Blank ones? You can just go to the exchange point.”

Yu Xunge said, “They only accept my divine skill crystals for blank ones, but I want to trade with you guys; I should be able to get more.”

The group exchanged glances. This wasn’t against the rules; there was no regulation prohibiting them from trading their purchased blank skill crystals with players.

The buzz-cut man asked, “How much do you want to sell it for?”
