He casually placed the stone for capturing images on the table, then pushed open the door and walked toward his father's study.
Not long after he left, a young woman dressed as a maid approached with a broom, gently pushing the door open and stepping inside.
...
“Dad, what do you need me for?”
Bai Feng pushed open the study door and saw Bai Tianyou reclining in a chair, holding two letters, a smile unconsciously playing at the corners of his mouth.
“I have two pieces of good news to share with you.” Bai Tianyou didn’t sit up straight but tossed the letters onto the table. “One is from Bai Yumo, and the other is from your Uncle Yun. Which one do you want to hear first?”
Bai Feng glanced at the letters on the table, feeling that neither was particularly good news. “What do they say?”
Bai Tianyou didn’t keep him in suspense. “Your Uncle Yun plans to bring Yun Yueyao over for a visit, and he even wants to stay for a few days.”
Well, that’s definitely not good news. I need to think of an excuse to avoid this.
As Bai Feng pondered, he continued, “And what about Yumo?”
“Yumo mentioned your situation to her master, and it seems that the kid from the Lin family suggested you join the Tianjian Sect.” Bai Tianyou’s smile widened, nearly reaching his ears. “Coincidentally, the Tianjian Sect is looking to recruit new disciples, so they’ll be coming by in the next few days.”
Bai Feng: “…”
What a pair of ‘good’ news!
One is a potential child of destiny planning to stay at my house, and the other is about me moving into the lair of the child of destiny.
Do I have any other options?
“But if I join the Tianjian Sect, how will I explain that to Uncle Yun?”
He felt it would be better to meet with a potential child of destiny (for now, at least) than to move into their territory. He needed to find a way to delay the Tianjian Sect situation.
Indeed, Mr. Lu Xun was right.
Bai Tianyou waved his hand, not seeing it as a problem. “Hey, you’re both still young. There’s no rush. If worse comes to worst, we can let Yun Yueyao join the Tianjian Sect too!”
“But the Yun family isn’t even in the Northern Region. It would be too strange for Yun Yueyao to come to the Tianjian Sect for training, wouldn’t it?”
“Hmm, that’s true.” Bai Tianyou nodded but still didn’t see it as an issue. “It’s fine; you two just need to meet more often. I’m not in the same sect as your Uncle Yun, but we still became good friends in the end, didn’t we?”
Bai Feng: “...Dad, comparing you and Uncle Yun is a bit odd.”
“You little rascal, don’t tease me!” Bai Tianyou shot him a glare. “I’m doing this for you! If it were anyone else, the marriage would have been settled by now.”
“Sure, sure.” Bai Feng replied dismissively. “But you know my talent, Dad. It’s probably going to be the same as last time, so it’s best not to have too high expectations.”
“Then you need to work harder. Stop spending all your time in your room drawing those kinds of things. Strive to get into the Tianjian Sect and train properly, or you might not even make it to the position of elder.”
“Uh, I’ll try my best.”
Feeling a bit embarrassed after being called out, Bai Feng hadn’t mentioned his drawing of risqué images at home, but given his reputation, it was hard to hide it from the head of the Bai family.
Seeing that his father was about to continue lecturing him, he quickly found an excuse to slip away.
...
“Sigh, is there really no other path I can take?”
Bai Feng sighed as he walked back, initially hoping to rely on his little sister, only to be let down by his mother and forced into a villainous system. Now, just as he had finally settled down, his father had thrown him into another predicament.
If it weren’t for the third child of destiny from Qinghong City leaving, and only occasionally returning to the system map, he would suspect that the Heavenly Dao was targeting him.
Do I really have to hide out for a few days? But if I run into a new child of destiny, that would be even worse.
As he pondered how to escape this crisis, he pushed open the door to the courtyard, suddenly feeling a slight tension in his expression.
The moment he stepped into the courtyard, he sensed subtle fluctuations of spiritual energy around him.
It’s a formation!
Someone has set up a formation in my room!
If he hadn’t practiced the Forging Spirit Technique for a few days, he might not have noticed it at all.
Feigning ignorance, he continued to stroll slowly around the courtyard, but his mind was racing.
This formation seems to be a confinement array, primarily designed to isolate sound and spiritual energy fluctuations.
It appears the other party isn’t after his life, but they could be the type who enjoys sneaking in to kill, then vanishing before the victim’s family discovers the body the next day.
Fortunately, this formation isn’t too difficult to break; it just requires a bit of time.
With that thought, he didn’t go inside but instead sat down at a stone table in the courtyard and took out a book from his storage ring to read.
“Ah, Young Master Bai truly has exquisite taste. Or have you already discovered me?”
A sultry voice drifted into his ears, like a feather lightly teasing his heart, making him feel a fluttering sensation, even causing his breath to quicken.
Bai Feng didn’t respond but turned to look toward the door.
He saw the door pushed open by a delicate jade hand. She wore a long black dress, her face partially concealed by a translucent veil. Every movement was captivating, making one unable to resist the urge to push her against the wall, one hand reaching for her tantalizing thigh while the other sought to unveil her mysterious face.
Bai Feng quickly activated the Forging Spirit Technique, and soon his dazed eyes regained clarity.
However, he didn’t reveal himself; instead, he smiled, as if unaware of the danger. “So it’s Miss Qiu. What brings you here? Are you worried that my sudden departure the other day left me unsatisfied, so you’ve come to make it up to me?”

**Chapter 17: Be Careful, or I Might Catch You!**
“Of course! I wonder which method of compensation Young Master Bai prefers?”
Qiu’er smiled as she walked over to Bai Feng, slowly sitting down, crossing her left leg over her right. The black, smooth fabric cascaded like flowing sand, revealing her fair, smooth thigh.
Her voice seemed to possess a kind of magic, drawing one in, making them want to kneel at her feet.
But Bai Feng was focused on the Forging Spirit Technique and remained unaffected by her allure.
“What a tempting little enchantress. Since that’s the case, let me see what Miss Qiu looks like beneath that veil.”
“You’re quite impatient, Young Master.” Qiu’er giggled, covering her mouth. “If you agree to do something for me, I’ll show you not just my face, but anything else you desire~”
Her voice was light and soft, yet it felt like a slender hook ensnaring his heart, teasing him. If he were a less resolute young master, he might have already surrendered everything.
‘Hiss… I’ve really encountered a seductress.’
Bai Feng could clearly sense that her voice was off, likely due to some seductive technique she had practiced.
And her constant chatter was probably an attempt to deepen her influence over him, even to control him.
But unfortunately for her, I’m just buying time!
So Bai Feng continued along with her words, “Oh? What is it that Miss Qiu needs me to do?”
Qiu’er reached between two spheres and pulled out a stack of papers.
At first glance, Bai Feng recognized them as the risqué drawings he had created recently!
Goodness, not only is she trying to fleece me, but she’s also stealing my work!
You better watch out, or I might catch you!
“Who would have thought that the renowned Master Chunqiu is actually the young master of the Bai family?” Qiu’er waved the papers in front of Bai Feng, a fragrant aroma wafting from them, stirring his blood. “I’ve admired you for a long time, Master Chunqiu. How about coming with me to see even more beautiful sights~?”
“Miss Qiu, you’ve certainly proposed an irresistible offer.” Bai Feng’s head swayed with the movement of the papers, appearing completely entranced.
But suddenly, he sprang up from the stone bench, his eyes clear, and with a flicker of a talisman in his hand, he almost instantly appeared at the entrance. “But I must decline!”
As soon as the words left his mouth, the formation isolating the courtyard from the outside shattered violently.
In that moment of destruction, Bai Feng quickly threw the talisman he held, and a surge of sword energy surrounded him.
He took a deep breath. “Help!!!”
Bai Feng’s smooth little maneuver left Qiu’er stunned. She had never expected that he would be completely unaffected by her seductive technique, nor that he could break the formation.
How is this possible!
Caught off guard, she lost the best opportunity to strike, and now she sensed several gazes locking onto her.
She looked at Bai Feng, who was protected by layers of sword energy, and instead of being angry, a charming smile spread across her face. “They say the young master of the Bai family is a useless fool; it seems those people were mistaken.”
