Chapter 11

He continued, “Brother Cooper got your bed wet just to force you to sleep with Matthew Turner. Then he’d definitely take intimate photos of you two and post them on the forum to stir up trouble. Be careful.”

Eric Bennett nodded and said, “I know, thank you.”

Back at the dorm, both Matthew Turner and Daniel Cooper had returned. Matthew Turner looked gloomy, while Daniel Cooper was all smug and pleased with himself. Seeing this, Eric Bennett immediately understood what had happened.

Sure enough, Matthew Turner apologized to Eric Bennett, “Sorry, the dorm supervisor won’t let us change rooms.”

Eric Bennett nodded and said, “It’s fine.”

He turned his gaze to Daniel Cooper and said to Matthew Turner, “Close the door.”

Matthew Turner hesitated for a moment, but still reached out and closed the dorm door.

Eric Bennett clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking. With that sound, he looked at Daniel Cooper and asked, “Do you want to hit me?”

The smug smile on Daniel Cooper’s face faded a little. “What do you mean?”

Eric Bennett nodded, “I understand.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Eric Bennett did something completely unexpected—he made a move against Daniel Cooper.

Chapter 5: The Mother-Fixation

An hour later, the two of them reported together to the dean’s office.

The dean was a stern-looking middle-aged man. He looked at Eric Bennett, then at Daniel Cooper, and asked, “Who started the fight?”

Daniel Cooper quickly answered, “He started it!”

Eric Bennett remained silent.

The dean glanced at Daniel Cooper with displeasure and said, “I wasn’t asking you.”

He turned to Eric Bennett and spoke kindly, “Eric Bennett, you tell me.”

Eric Bennett looked up, glanced at Daniel Cooper, and said quietly, “He started it.”

Daniel Cooper was stunned. He hadn’t expected Eric Bennett to lie, and hurriedly said, “He’s lying! He started it!”

The dean ignored him and asked Eric Bennett, “I heard he also deliberately poured water on your bed?”

Eric Bennett nodded.

The dean asked, “Has anything like this happened before?”

Eric Bennett glanced at Daniel Cooper, then quickly lowered his head and said nothing.

Seeing this, the dean softened his tone and said, “Don’t be afraid, speak up. The school and teachers are your support. Our school absolutely does not tolerate bullying.”

After speaking, he shot a cold look at Daniel Cooper.

Daniel Cooper: “……”

Daniel Cooper finally realized the problem. No wonder Eric Bennett fought back—was he trying to blow this up??

Although Daniel Cooper disliked and couldn’t stand Eric Bennett, it had always been limited to petty tricks to disgust him. He had never actually laid a hand on him, precisely to avoid making things big.

He hadn’t expected Eric Bennett to go crazy this time and actually escalate the situation.

What a nutcase, Daniel Cooper cursed inwardly, suppressing his anger on the surface and, like a little quail, said, “Teacher, there’s no bullying. You can ask the other students. Eric Bennett and I are roommates—why would I bully him?”

Hearing this, Eric Bennett silently rolled up his sleeve, revealing the bruises on his arm. He then looked up, meeting the dean’s gaze, and showed the wounds on his face.

The dean noticed his injuries and said angrily, “How can you even say that? Look at what you’ve done to Classmate Bennett! Call your parents—right now, immediately!”

Daniel Cooper glared resentfully at Eric Bennett and fell silent.

Their homeroom teacher Steven Martin and a few others, including Matthew Turner, hurried over. The dean explained the situation to Steven Martin, who looked at Eric Bennett and then asked Matthew Turner, “Is it as Mr. Liu said?”

Matthew Turner nodded and lied with open eyes, “I saw it with both eyes. Daniel Cooper started it, and he’s been bullying Eric Bennett all along. He even dirtied Eric Bennett’s bed just now.”

Daniel Cooper shouted angrily, “You’re lying too! Search your conscience—who really started it?”

Matthew Turner said, “…So you actually know how to use the phrase ‘search your conscience’?”

Daniel Cooper felt the mockery, his face flushed red, and his eyes grew even more hostile.

Everyone in the discipline office, along with Steven Martin, saw Daniel Cooper’s expression and already had their answer in their hearts.

Daniel Cooper was kept in the discipline office, while Eric Bennett and the others left with Steven Martin.

Steven Martin spoke first, “Why didn’t you tell the teacher about such a big issue with Daniel Cooper?”

Eric Bennett said quietly, “There’s nothing to say.”

Steven Martin sighed inwardly and said, “Come to my office. I have some medicine there.”

Eric Bennett didn’t refuse. Matthew Turner scratched his head and said, “I’ll head back first, then. It’s still early, so I’ll help wash and dry your bedsheet.”

Eric Bennett said, “No need, I’ll do it myself.”

Matthew Turner pushed up his glasses and said, “No need to be polite. It’s just a quick wash in the machine.”

So Eric Bennett didn’t refuse again.
