§§Epilogue

So, today I was feeling a bit down.

A few days ago, I was happily telling my friend: hahaha, you can't see the total solar eclipse, you can only see the partial eclipse.

As a result, today, on the 22nd, my friend happily told me: hahaha, you didn't even see the partial eclipse.

……

……

This must be a punishment for my previous arrogance. It's so embarrassing, a once-in-several-hundred-years spectacle, and it rained here.

It was supposed to be one of the best observation points...

The only consolation is that I was misled into thinking that professional observation glasses were expensive, costing hundreds or thousands, so I didn't buy them. On the night of the 21st, I found out they were only five yuan, and I regretted it for a long time. Now it seems I saved five yuan. Haha.

Speaking of which, the total solar eclipse on the 22nd was also one of my motivations for rushing to finish the manuscript. While writing the ending, I kept telling myself, hurry up and finish before the 22nd, so I can relax and watch the spectacle with my parents. So I buried myself in writing, and finally finished on the 19th.

Calculating the time, from August 2008 when I started to now, it's almost been a year.

Before I started writing, I didn't expect this story to take a year. I thought it was just a short story, maybe ten or twenty thousand words would be enough. So I started without much thought, and who knew it would get longer and longer...

(Everyone: We know it's long! You don't need to repeat it...)

Life is really full of unexpected events like a solar eclipse with rain! (Okay, I still haven't forgotten the solar eclipse...)

Sweat, because this epilogue was written after the layout, the editor told me, Manman, your epilogue can't exceed 800 words, or it won't fit.

Although I was always thinking about what to write in the epilogue, feeling like I had so much to say but didn't know where to start, suddenly realizing I couldn't ramble on was a bit disappointing.

Fortunately, during the online serialization, I had already said most of what I wanted to say to everyone.

Thank you all for your support along the way. I will work even harder on my next book. It took over two years to write 'He Yi', and almost a year for 'Weiwei'. I hope the next book will only take half a year.

Praying

The epilogue is the last part of this book, and writing here suddenly feels like saying goodbye to the world of Vivian and Nai Shawn, and I am very reluctant.

They accompanied me for a year.

Maybe, in the future, I can write some side stories about them, or let them make cameo appearances in other stories.

Writing 'Weiwei' this year, I experienced a lot, but no matter what, writing this epilogue now, I feel very calm and joyful.

May you who are reading this book also feel calm and joyful.
