Chapter 32

In the narrow passage barely wide enough for a single person, a strong red and blue light flickered faintly from the opposite side.

Inside a cavern the size of a basketball court, there were two pools.

One pool resembled molten lava, while the other was like frostbite, flowing outward from the cave.

At the confluence of these two pools, a dark hammer stood silently on its head, dividing the fiery and icy waters.

Boom—

It was just a hammer that trembled.

Yet, it felt as if the very heavens had split apart, shaking the entire Divine Weapon Peak.

With just a glance, Li Mo felt his mind explode.

In a daze, he saw a burly man with a bushy beard, wielding the hammer, striking a sword blank on an anvil, sending sparks flying.

Chi Xiao?

Tian Shuang?

Were these two mysterious weapons forged by this very hammer?

As Li Mo's thoughts began to swirl, the scene before him shifted again.

He saw the hammer still in the hands of the bearded man, crashing down onto the head of a dragon-like creature the size of a small mountain, causing its skull to explode, leaving only the dragon's horns behind.

He also witnessed the hammer in the hands of other powerful beings, crushing various foes.

Even with a single strike, it could reduce an entire mountain to dust.

Rumble—

“Oh no, it seems like there’s really an earthquake.”

Li Mo snapped back to reality, realizing that it wasn’t an illusion; the entire Divine Weapon Peak was indeed shaking!

He hurriedly ran outside.

As he dashed, a voice inexplicably echoed in his heart.

It wasn’t human speech, yet he understood its meaning:

“I’m waiting for you.”

Was it... that hammer?

......

At Divine Weapon Peak, in the Forging Institute.

Hiss—

A plume of white smoke rose.

Han He took off his upper garment. Despite his aged appearance, his upper body was muscular and formidable.

He retrieved a weapon that had just been quenched—a three-pronged dagger with a glinting cold light.

“Master, you’ve forged another renowned weapon,” Murong Xiao said, loosening his grip, his eyes filled with reverence.

Recently, he had been practicing the Cloak Hammer under Han He’s guidance.

“Alas, a renowned weapon.”

“Once, many true masters emerged from Divine Weapon Peak, all capable of forging mysterious weapons.”

Elder Han He took a sip of tea, gently stroking the newly forged three-pronged dagger.

“You will surely be able to do so in the future.”

“I’m old now; it’s unlikely in this lifetime.”

Han He shook his head, then looked at Murong Xiao with a glimmer of hope.

“With your half-demon body, if you practice diligently, you might one day have the fortune to wield the Panjie Meteor Hammer...”

Before he could finish,

Rumble—

The ground shook, and gasps filled the air.

Elder Han He suddenly stood up, his brow furrowing tightly.

He seemed to have thought of something, and his figure shot out like an arrow.

In an instant, Han He appeared at the entrance of the Divine Blade Cave.

“The ground is shaking!”

“Run, everyone, run!”

Those still inside the cave rushed out, wishing they had two more legs.

Li Mo followed suit.

His clothes were tattered, looking like a wild man.

Murong Xiao approached him, noticing his disheveled appearance, and hurriedly came to check.

“Li brother, what happened to you...”

“Oh, I just accidentally tore my clothes while practicing,” Li Mo replied, though his heart was in turmoil.

The commotion today was undoubtedly caused by him.

“The elders are here; what’s going on?” Murong Xiao suddenly said.

Following his gaze, Li Mo saw nine figures standing at the entrance of the Divine Blade Cave.

“Master is here.”

Li Mo realized the seriousness of the situation.

The disturbance in the Divine Blade Cave must have been caused by that hammer.

What level of weapon was it, after all?

“Li brother, why don’t you come with me to change clothes?”

“Sure, that sounds good.”

......

After the two left, at the entrance of the Divine Blade Cave.

“Han He, could it be...”

Qian Bufan asked tentatively.

Elder Han He nodded:

“Indeed, it’s the Panjie Meteor Hammer.”

“I don’t see you looking like a master craftsman; what’s really going on?”

A middle-aged man, resembling Yin Huacheng by about seventy percent, spoke up.

He was none other than the elder of the Rare Beast Peak—Yin Huaxuan.

Shang Wu half-opened her eyes and chuckled lightly:

“Old folks love to throw tantrums, don’t they?”

As soon as she said this, the other eight glared at her in anger.

Han He coldly snorted:

“Shang Wu, do not speak recklessly about the ancestral treasures of Divine Weapon Peak.”

The reason Divine Weapon Peak was named so was, of course, because it possessed a true divine weapon.

The Panjie Meteor Hammer.

It existed in the Divine Blade Cave long before the establishment of the Qingyuan Sect.

Later, only those elders who reached the level of master craftsman would ‘invite’ it out when forging mysterious weapons.

It was used, not controlled.

Only the sect leader and the peak elders knew of this matter.

“Talking is pointless; let’s go down and take a look.”

Xue Jing stroked his long beard thoughtfully.

The elders exchanged glances, all nodding in agreement.

The journey was silent.

Before long, they arrived at the fourth level of the Divine Blade Cave, where the mysterious weapons were stored.

Upon seeing the large hole, their pupils involuntarily constricted.

“This hole seems to have been forcibly opened by someone?”

“There are no traces of internal energy or intent.”

“Who did this?”

The elders looked at each other, all seeing the confusion in one another’s eyes.

Clearly, the one who opened this hole was none of them.

Just as they were puzzled, they noticed Elder Han He’s expression had changed.

They then turned their gaze toward the bottom of the Divine Blade Cave, where the ice and fire converged.

Shang Wu raised an eyebrow, smiling:

“Han He, it seems this old antique hammer has recognized its master.”

The others: “!”

Realizing this fact, everyone couldn’t help but gasp in shock.

A divine weapon.

Han He’s face twitched, and he stood there dumbfounded, as if he had lost his soul.

“Recognized its master? Who did it recognize?” Qian Bufan asked, trying to calm his emotions.

No one answered.

“This is getting interesting; a divine weapon recognizes a master but is left here.”

Yin Huaxuan’s eyes flickered:

“It can’t be that the person can’t lift it, right?”

“Impossible, absolutely impossible. How could a divine weapon recognize someone who can’t even lift it as its master?”

Han He trembled uncontrollably, his voice hoarse.

For a moment, the scene fell into silence.

After a long while, it was Han He who spoke first:

“I will investigate this matter. If I find any leads, I will report to the sect leader and discuss it with the elders of all peaks.”

“Should we block this hole?”

“Hmm, after the sect’s trials, the newly promoted true disciples and inner disciples will come to the Divine Blade Cave to select their weapons.”

“I don’t think it’s necessary.”

“True, the new disciples probably won’t come here.”

.......

After a brief discussion, the peak elders left the Divine Blade Cave one by one.

Only Elder Han He remained, standing still as the light of ice and fire cast his shadow against the wall.

After a long time, he sighed deeply, his expression forlorn:

“Are you unwilling to be just a forging hammer...”

**Chapter 29: Preparing to Learn the Sword and Head to the Inheritance Site with Ying Bing**

At the Autumn Water Pavilion.

As night fell, a slight chill filled the air.

Tonight, only three small dishes were served on the table, not made by Li Mo, but brought back from the dining hall.

Ying Bing held a bowl, her cheeks moving slightly.

After eating only half a bowl, she set down her chopsticks.

Tonight’s meal was truly tasteless.

Ying Bing had never been picky about food; as long as it was clean and filled her stomach, that was enough. For her, eating was merely a necessity for her current body, nothing more.

Her appetite, like her other desires, was quite faint.

Well...

Before she had tasted hot pot or barbecued meat, it had indeed been like this.

“I could endure the darkness if I had never seen the light.”

This principle applied to food as well.

Now, looking at these ordinary dishes, a sense of emptiness filled Ying Bing’s heart.

She glanced subtly across the table.

The boy was mechanically pushing his food around, a look of existential doubt on his face.

Little Li’s mood was indeed extremely complicated.

“The Panjie Meteor Hammer... a divine weapon...”

When Murong Xiao had quietly told him about the possible disturbance at the bottom of the Divine Blade Cave, Li Mo’s expression had been nothing short of spectacular.
