Chapter 8

Sarah Cooper let out a sigh of relief. “Whether it’s true or not, as long as you’re not discriminatory, that’s good enough. I really do want to arrange an Omega for you—otherwise, what’s the point of you being on this show? But don’t worry, I’m not asking you to create hype with him. I just hope that through the show, people can see your attitude toward this group. As long as there’s no problem here, the PR department will handle everything else.”

William Clark seemed to still be considering, his handsome profile backlit, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.

Maybe he just didn’t know how to interact with Omegas.

“If you won’t think of yourself, at least think of Mr. Clark.” Sarah Cooper took another step back. “How about this: don’t rush to decide. I’ve already talked to Henry Foster just now, and he’ll bring the person over for you to meet first. This kid is someone Henry Foster just signed not long ago, named Andrew Bennett. He just shot a commercial for Mist, and the market response was great. Just think of it as helping the company introduce a newcomer.”

William Clark suddenly froze.

After a moment, he turned his head, staring at Sarah Cooper so intently it made her a little nervous, and spoke slowly: “What did you say his name was?”

Sarah Cooper, a bit confused, repeated, “His name is Andrew Bennett—the ‘棠’ from ‘海棠’ and the ‘舟’ from ‘扁舟’.”

Chapter 4

Walking across the soft, thick carpet and around the corridor, the noise from the annual party was completely shut out.

“If this works out, you’ll get to be on a variety show,” Henry Foster said excitedly. “The ratings are really high.”

Andrew Bennett was even more puzzled. “I don’t even have any works yet, and I’m going on a variety show?”

Henry Foster rubbed his hands. “Don’t worry, you’ve already had great exposure before. Besides, as long as this person is there, even if you’re a complete newcomer, you’ll still get on. The production team would love to have you.”

A lightbulb went off in Andrew Bennett’s mind as he suddenly thought of something. He took a step back and earnestly suggested, “Mr. Foster, I think I forgot to tell you—I absolutely won’t accept any unspoken rules, and I won’t do anything indecent.”

Henry Foster: “……”

Henry Foster: “Stop overthinking! From now on, don’t be nervous, just do your best!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Henry Foster pushed open a door that was slightly ajar.

The moment the door opened, Andrew Bennett was caught off guard as he was pushed forward, suddenly appearing in the doorway.

Everyone in the room turned their eyes to him.

Except for one—

The man sitting on the leather sofa by the floor-to-ceiling window, whose long legs nearly took up all the space in front of the sofa. The Alpha’s aura radiated from him, domineering and direct. The moment Andrew Bennett came into contact with it, his mind buzzed, instantly overwhelmed by the pheromones.

Scorching sun—William Clark’s exclusive S-class pheromone, one of those rare, abstract Alpha pheromones on Earth.

A radio host’s teasing echoed faintly in his mind, and Andrew Bennett couldn’t help but think, no wonder there isn’t a single Omega around this guy… This feeling alone would make any unmarked Omega’s legs go weak.

Hearing the door open, William Clark just slowly turned his head, looking over with no particular expression.

And Andrew Bennett was looking at him.

Their eyes met, and for a moment, it was as if the whole world fell silent.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window was the city nightscape; no one knew when the sky had turned completely dark.

William Clark sat with his back to the dazzling lights, just like all those times he stood center stage surrounded by spotlights—distant, yet real, like the moon among stars.

Andrew Bennett’s heart pounded wildly, a crazy voice in his head screaming in disbelief: Ahhhhhh it’s the real William Clark!!!

William Clark’s cool eyes appeared deep brown under the night lights, utterly emotionless.

Because of his heritage, his features were striking—deep-set eyes, a high nose bridge, and a lazy yet noble elegance. Unlike the artists at the annual party in their glamorous outfits, William Clark’s hair was messy and unstyled, and he wore a loose black hoodie. The only accessories were a few rings with different meanings on his long fingers.

Judging by his appearance, William Clark clearly had no intention of properly attending the annual party. He was unique, uninhibited.

Suddenly, his age felt much closer—reminding everyone that this superstar, the center of attention, was only twenty-six this year.

So this is what William Clark is like in private!

Andrew Bennett was screaming inside.

So the person Mr. Foster mentioned, the one who would take him on the show, was William Clark? Ahhhhhh he’s totally up for it!!!

In just two or three seconds, the atmosphere in the room seemed to freeze, as if by an invisible hand.

Henry Foster glanced at Andrew Bennett, secretly thinking, Oh no.

Andrew Bennett’s delicate features looked extremely cold, as if covered in a layer of ice—very striking. Even though Henry Foster knew he must be screaming inside right now.

“……” Henry Foster was speechless. Next time, he really needed to teach him some facial expression management.

When this kid got serious, he looked so cold. The first time they met, Henry Foster had been intimidated by Andrew Bennett’s seriousness. Who would have thought the persona would collapse as quickly as it was built.

“Here we are, here we are.” He quickly took the initiative to introduce, “Ms. Cooper, this is our Andy. Andy, this is Sarah Cooper, Ms. Cooper, the company’s top agent. And Little Ethan, the company’s top assistant.”

Little Ethan was a bit embarrassed by the praise. “Oh, not at all, not at all.”
