Lingxi Valley—
“Let’s take a nap. By the time we wake up, those little mice from the Sword Pavilion should be here,” Yun Suxin thought as she prepared to lie down. Yet, for some reason, an uneasy feeling crept into her heart. But then she remembered, this was Lingxi Valley, her territory. What could possibly go wrong?
“Heh, scaring myself~”
She let out a soft hum.
Closing her eyes, she drifted off into a beautiful sleep.

Chapter 106: A Flying Boat Stuck in the Illusion Array??
Boom—!
Yun Suxin was jolted awake by a loud crash.
Glancing out the window, she saw it was already dawn. At this hour, most disciples of Lingxi Valley were either cultivating or busying themselves in the spirit fields. She wondered who was making such a ruckus, disturbing the peace!
Her room was situated high up, above a waterfall in Lingxi Valley, and with a sweep of her spiritual sense, she could see most of the valley laid out before her.
As soon as she opened the door, darkness loomed ahead.
In the distance, she spotted a diamond-shaped object lodged in the illusion array at the mountain gate, casting a large shadow as it blocked the rising sun. The disciples of Lingxi Valley were scurrying around like ants on a hot pan, completely in disarray.
“That looks like a… flying boat?!”
Yun Suxin squinted, using her keen eyesight to make out the details of the flying boat.
They had medium-sized flying boats in Lingxi Valley too.
But she had never seen one just crash into someone else's illusion array like this. Wasn’t that a blatant provocation?
“Master, this is bad!” A disciple of Lingxi Valley stumbled over to Yun Suxin, panic written all over his face. “A flying boat has crashed into our illusion array, right at the core! The outermost layer of the illusion has already been breached!”
“I’m not blind,” Yun Suxin frowned, her voice cold. “Do you know which sect they belong to?”
“Reporting to the Master, judging by the flags and insignia on the flying boat, it’s from the Sword Pavilion.”
“The Sword Pavilion? Are you sure?!” Yun Suxin’s first reaction was disbelief.
Could the Sword Pavilion, which was notoriously poor, really afford a flying boat?
If they could, she’d eat that flying boat!
“Uh, I’m not too sure either, but it definitely has the Sword Pavilion’s emblem,” the disciple faltered under her questioning. The Sword Pavilion was indeed strong in swordplay but notoriously stingy; any earnings they made were usually spent on maintaining their flying swords.
“Should we inform the Valley Master? I’m worried they might not come in peace.”
Yun Suxin thought about her mother’s current state and shook her head.
“No need. Go summon Elder Liang and have him accompany me to investigate their identity!”
…
Meanwhile.
On the flying boat, the violent shaking had also awakened Yue Qianchi and Li Qingran.
“It’s already daytime… No wonder it’s such a high-level Spirit Gathering Array; one night of cultivation here is equivalent to half a month at Luanxia Peak,” Yue Qianchi stretched lazily, feeling something was off outside the window.
Was the sky really that blue and the clouds that white when they checked in yesterday?
She turned to Li Qingran beside her, her eyes widening in surprise.
“Junior Sister, you’ve broken through to Foundation Establishment! Your cultivation speed is incredible! You really are someone who enjoys the benefits of a high-level Spirit Gathering Array every day~ You’re just different~”
Li Qingran stopped circulating her energy, and as soon as her bright eyes opened, she heard Yue Qianchi’s teasing words. Her cheeks flushed immediately, and she stammered:
“What honey pot? Sugar jar… Senior Sister, don’t say that. If you want, you can come to the top of Luanxia Peak to cultivate with me every day. I can just ask Master, and I’m sure he’ll agree. He seems mysterious, but he’s actually very kind.”
“Let’s skip that,” Yue Qianchi said, though she was tempted. She didn’t want to be a third wheel, nor did she want to be seen again, even if the other party was likely a cold, white-haired old man.
Li Qingran wanted to persuade her further, but Yue Qianchi interrupted her with a playful poke.
“Ah!” Li Qingran blushed and shrank back into the gauze tent.
Yue Qianchi chuckled, “You’re growing up nicely, almost catching up to me. Come on, we need to get going.”
Two minutes later, after freshening up, Li Qingran and Yue Qianchi pushed the door and headed downstairs.
They were puzzled as to why the tavern was empty until they reached the entrance, where they froze in shock.
Outside the tavern was no longer the bustling Qinghe City, but a stretch of green mountains and endless seas of clouds.
“What? Is that a flying boat?” Yue Qianchi spotted the core of the spirit array not far from the tavern entrance.
Inside, six spirit crystals were glowing brightly.
Two of the spirit crystals were nearly depleted.
Clearly, this flying boat had carried them and the entire tavern through the night.
“The tavern has been uprooted…” Li Qingran concluded after examining the surroundings.
Yes.
This was something Master could do.
This flying boat must have been provided by Master to help them reach Lingxi Valley faster.
Master was so thoughtful, even while trapped, still considering her and making arrangements. Even when moving the tavern, he must have used some great power to avoid interrupting her and Senior Sister’s cultivation.
Master, you’re the best!
Li Qingran pressed her hand to her chest, feeling warmth mixed with a tinge of sadness.
Master had done so much for her, yet she couldn’t help him right away…
“Wow! Junior Sister Qingran, we’ve arrived at Lingxi Valley!”
Yue Qianchi’s loud voice snapped Li Qingran out of her reverie.
Wait, they were already at Lingxi Valley? So fast?
She leaned closer to Yue Qianchi, peering over the edge of the flying boat. As the sun rose, the scenery became even more magnificent. The valley was serene, adorned with vibrant flowers, and vast spirit fields sprawled around the canyon. A cliff jutted out in the valley, with a waterfall cascading down like a jade belt falling from the heavens.
This waterfall was the symbol of Lingxi Valley.
They had indeed arrived at Lingxi Valley.
“Those little mice from the Sword Pavilion!”
A cold snort rang out.
Li Qingran and Yue Qianchi looked up in the direction of the sound.
They saw a woman in a green robe and a bald man standing atop the tavern, the woman wearing a veil that revealed her sharp eyes, glinting with anger. The bald man was burly, his face painted with rouge, and he carried a large black sword on his shoulder, looking rough but radiating a powerful aura.
“Who are you calling a little mouse? Do you believe I can slice you in half with one sword?!” Yue Qianchi stepped in front of Li Qingran, drawing her Xuanwu Heavy Sword from her storage bag and pointing it at the two on the tavern roof.
“Is it you?” Yun Suxin ignored Yue Qianchi and focused her gaze on Li Qingran, letting out a cold snort. “I didn’t expect you to join the Sword Pavilion. Tsk, tsk, joining such a poor sect, what a waste of your talent.”
“What’s wrong with the Sword Pavilion?” Yue Qianchi’s face flushed with anger, and she was about to argue with Yun Suxin when suddenly, a massive pressure bore down on her, rendering her immobile.
It was the bald man beside Yun Suxin!
Yue Qianchi’s heart sank.
This pressure was not like the insurmountable feeling she had when facing her Master; it was a direct, crushing force, indicating that the opponent was likely at the Nascent Soul stage. From the way the woman spoke, she could tell that she was Yun Suxin, the young master of Lingxi Valley.
In fact, one could tell by her figure; after all, she had touched it before, and it felt quite nice, even better than Li Qingran’s.
But that wasn’t important!
What mattered was that the situation ahead was going to be tricky.
Yun Suxin looked at Yue Qianchi, whose face was pale, and raised her chin defiantly. “Hmph! You stole this flying boat, didn’t you? No wonder you crashed into the illusion array. Now that you’ve breached the outer array of Lingxi Valley, you still dare to argue with me? How arrogant!”
“Why are you saying so much, Master?” The bald man, already impatient, twisted his face and muttered, “Leave it to me to handle. I’ll chop off their limbs and toss them into the black prison, and wait for the Sword Pavilion to pay for their release!”

“What do I need you to teach me how to do my job? Why don’t you take the position of Young Master instead, Elder Liang?”
