Chapter 16

No. 2 seemed to realize that Brian Clark wasn’t going along with her wishes, and she wasn’t as lively as before. When Henry Grant spoke to her, she barely responded.

Brian Clark had no idea about the rivalry between the girls. He was holding a SCAR-L and an M24, becoming the most diligent “janitor” in P City.

“There’s still a squad ahead, not sure how many are left,” Brian Clark said.

【How do you know? Wallhacks??】

“How do I know… I watched them jump down with my own eyes. One of them was wearing a school uniform skirt, wrapped in a black jacket… and a red scarf. I didn’t find that outfit in the loot I picked up, so if there isn’t another squad, what is it?” Brian Clark said casually. “I’m the type who really loves money and kind of resents the rich, so I remembered them from the start.”

In the game, after killing an enemy, you can not only take their gear but even their clothes.

Ethan Foster tapped his index finger lightly on the table, couldn’t help but laugh, closed his spreadsheet, and leaned back to watch the stream more closely.

【So real.jpg】

【No wonder I’m always the first to die, you bunch of broke players!!!】

The outfit Brian Clark mentioned costs at least five figures in the game—it’s definitely a “whale set.”

Henry Grant: “Alright, let’s go together.”

The two of them were heading over when No. 1 asked quietly, “Can I go search the wild area nearby? …I saw the houses around here have already been looted.”

No. 2, seemingly on purpose, ran from one end of the street to the other and looted most of the houses near her.

“This city is so big and you don’t loot it, but insist on going to the wilds? What if you get killed, and no one can save you?” No. 2 said coolly. “Go ahead and loot, you’re just a delivery girl anyway.”

“It’s fine, go ahead,” Brian Clark belatedly sensed some tension and said, “If there’s anyone, just call me.”

He wasn’t really taking No. 1’s side, just felt that it’s only a game—no need to be so aggressive. If No. 2 were the one being scolded, he’d do the same.

Then he asked, “No. 2, do you want a 98K? If you do, I’ll have Henry Grant drop it for you.”

No. 2 paused, her tone finally softening a bit: “Coming.”

Henry Grant: “Damn, why don’t you give her your own M24?”

“What, you don’t want to?”

“…I do, of course I do!” Henry Grant lowered his voice, “No. 2, come find me, I’ll drop it for you.”

No. 1 mumbled, “Then I’ll go now.”

After Brian Clark finished off the enemies on his side, No. 1 spoke up again.

“Um, I think… an airdrop landed right on me.”

Airdrops are a game element—every so often, a plane drops a crate at a random location, containing rare weapons and level 3 gear you can’t usually find. The items are limited, first come first served, so every drop usually sparks a fierce fight.

“Really?” Brian Clark was a bit surprised. He had heard the plane earlier, but was busy storming a building and didn’t check.

“Yeah, it’s been down for a while, the red smoke is gone,” No. 1 said. “It’s a ‘Big Pineapple’—do you want it?”

“Big Pineapple” refers to the M249, a gun only found in airdrops, with a hundred-round magazine, long-lasting and powerful.

“What kind of luck is that… I’m coming,” Brian Clark said with a laugh after looting the crate. “With this, I can blow up any car that comes by.”

【Did he spawn with an airdrop or what? First he gets an almost fully kitted M24, now an airdrop lands on him?】

【No. 1 must be using a loot hack…】

【Come on, with No. 1’s skills, even if she hacks, it wouldn’t be for loot, haha.】

【I swear No. 1’s voice sounds so familiar…】

True to his word, after getting the M249, Brian Clark blew up a sports car trying to invade P City in less than ten minutes.

His recoil control was rock solid, and it was clear he was very familiar with the car’s movement speed. His bullets even hit the driver from time to time, with green blood constantly splattering on the screen.

【You eliminated HUMXIZ11 by blowing up their vehicle】

Brian Clark put away his scope, saw the questions in the chat, and chuckled, replying, “Why didn’t he jump out? He didn’t dare. I shot him down to half health as soon as he came in. Jumping out would mean instant death, so he gambled to see if he could make it through. So… the moment his engine roared in my ears, he was already a box.”

【…………Awesome.】

【666666 I think this streamer is going to blow up! I saw it with my own eyes, from 100 viewers to 7,000 in just two days!!】

Brian Clark glanced up and saw that his stream had actually broken 7,000 viewers.

…but he remembered that before this game started, he barely had over 4,000 viewers, and there hadn’t been any featured spots. How did he suddenly gain 3,000 more?

Before he could react, the number of comments in the chat suddenly skyrocketed—

【It really is Tuan Tuan’s game ID!! Tuan Tuan, why are you here!!!】

【…Tuan Tuan is actually playing games with another guy, I’m dead.】
